Data Deletion — KhataSplit

You can request deletion of your KhataSplit account and data at any time, in two ways:

Option 1: In-app (instant)

This immediately and permanently deletes:

• Your account (sign-in credentials)
• Your name and email from our user records
• Your Solo trips and their data, stored on your device
• Your membership in any Shared trips (your name is removed; other members' trip data is unaffected)
• Your chat encryption keys

Option 2: By email

Email kaiumattar@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my KhataSplit data" from the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account and data within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is NOT automatically deleted

• Shared trip data you contributed to (e.g. expense entries you added) may remain visible to other members of that trip, since it's part of their shared trip record — only your personal account and identifying info is removed.
• Your own Google Drive backup (if you made one) is not automatically deleted — you can remove it yourself from Account → Backup & Restore → Delete Backup, or it remains in your own private Google Drive app-data folder under your control.
